Опис курсу
The discipline “Strategic Management in Finance” (in English) is a normative discipline in the specialty “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market” for the educational program “Finance, Customs and Taxation”, which is taught in the 1st semester in the amount of 3 credits (according to the ECTS system).
In today’s environment, the process of substantiating decisions on the strategy of further development, assessing the market and tax consequences of economic activity, improving the management system of business entities depending on the specifics of their financial activities on a strategic basis requires special consideration. and are very relevant. Therefore, the academic discipline “Strategic Management in Finance” (in English) is important for preparation for the master’s degree in the specialty 072 “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market”.
The discipline belongs to the group of regulatory disciplines. It is an integral part of the cycle of general training required for managers and employees of business units of enterprises, institutions and organizations, regardless of ownership and organizational and legal form of management.
The purpose of studying the discipline is to acquire the necessary theoretical foundations, methodological approaches and practical skills in the principles of building a system for developing and implementing a financial strategy of an enterprise, bank, insurance company, other institutions and financial intermediaries, features of strategic analysis of the external environment, determining the overall and competitive strategy.
Objectives of studying the discipline:
– studying the basics of management theory at the level of knowledge necessary for mastering a system of interdependent specialized disciplines;
– familiarization with the basics of strategic management theory and the concept of strategy development at the level of ideas that expand the professional horizons of a specialist;
– analysis of modern domestic and foreign concepts of organization, process of development and implementation of strategic plans of different levels, taking into account the specifics of their application in practice of enterprises, institutions and organizations of Ukraine with an emphasis on the financial component;
– Identification of the most common and new approaches to the analysis of the environment of the business entity, methods for determining its competitiveness, familiarization with the methods of strategic analysis and forecasting the development of the internal and external environment;
– determination of methodological principles of formulating the goals and mission of the business entity, familiarization with models and methods of developing a strategic set;
– justification of the need to develop strategic and tactical plans, projects and programs as tools for implementing strategies, identifying the main areas of strategic changes and monitoring their implementation.
