On July 6, 2024, the All-Ukrainian Youth Forum “State Creator: Youth in the Restoration of the State” was held in Kyiv, which brought together more than 500 young leaders from all over Ukraine.

Every year, representatives of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv join this event.

Among the participants this year were the graduates of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management Maria Kormylo, Nadiya Bodnaruk, Khrystyna Ochych and graduate student of the department Maria Ustymenko.   They actively participated in the discussion of important issues of the country’s development.

At the forum, they had the opportunity to:

– listen to inspiring TEDx-style speeches from successful Ukrainians, including representatives of state authorities, business and the public sector:

◦ Kostyantyn Koshelenko (Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization) talked about “Management in times of war”,

◦ Mykhailo Vynnytskyi (Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine) shared his thoughts on the role of universities in the future of Ukraine,

◦ Oleksandr Yarema (State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine) spoke on the topic “How to unite Ukrainian youth inside and outside of Ukraine”,

◦ Taras Topolya (leader of the band “Antitila”, serviceman of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, volunteer) inspired the participants of the forum with his speech “Being responsible: youth in defense of Ukraine”;

– take part in three panel discussions dedicated to the role of youth in the restoration of the state:

• “Public sector: why and how young people should join public initiatives”
• “Reliable rear: who does Ukrainian business need today?”
• “Joining efforts: opportunities to support youth from non-governmental organizations”;

– get to know like-minded people and expand your network of contacts;

– learn more about the national program “State Creator”, which is aimed at supporting and developing youth leadership in Ukraine.

 The participation of representatives of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management in the “State Creator” forum demonstrates their active civic position and desire to contribute to the development of Ukraine.
