The discipline “Budget Management” is a normative discipline in the specialty “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market” for the educational program “Finance, Customs and Taxation”, taught in 1 semester in the amount of 4 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS).

The academic discipline “Budget Management” is aimed at developing knowledge and skills of higher education students, in particular, the techniques and methods used by legislative and executive authorities in the process of managing budgetary resources and relations, as well as the development of practical skills, the application of which will contribute to successful learning and future scientific and professional activities.

The purpose of the discipline is to provide basic knowledge of budgetary resources management and relations arising in the process of formation and execution of state and local budgets.

Objectives of the discipline:

– study of the principles, functions and methods of budgetary management;

– studying the competencies and powers of budget management bodies;

– expanding knowledge of budget planning and forecasting as components of budget management;

– development of skills in working with legislative and instructional materials related to the formation and execution of budgets.
