The discipline “Budget Management” is a normative discipline in the specialty “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market” for the educational program “Finance, Customs and Taxation”, taught in 1 semester in the amount of 4 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS).
The educational discipline “Budget Management” is aimed at developing knowledge and skills in higher education applicants, in particular regarding the techniques and methods used by legislative and executive authorities in the process of managing budget resources and relations, as well as for the formation of practical skills, the application of which will contribute to successful study and future scientific and professional activity.

The purpose of studying the discipline is to provide basic knowledge on issues of managing budget resources and relations that arise in the process of forming and implementing state and local budgets.

Objectives of studying the discipline:
• studying the principles, functions and methods of managing budget funds;
• studying the competencies and powers of budget management bodies;
• expanding knowledge about budget planning and forecasting as components of budget management;
• developing skills in working with legislative and instructional materials related to the formation and execution of budgets.
