SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR OF POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS OF SPECIALTY 281 PUBLIC MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION

On May 15, 2023, the Department of Public Administration and Business Management of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv hosted an annual scientific seminar for the department’s graduate students, where they have the opportunity to present the results of their research. This form of work with postgraduate students is effective, as reporting at the scientific seminar allows them to receive recommendations and comments on dissertation research, identify promising areas of activity and exchange views with fellow scientists.
The scientific event was opened by Andriy STASYSHYN, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management. He outlined the importance of science for the recovery and development of Ukraine, as science is an important component of the process of recovery and development of the country after martial law. Scientific research can contribute to finding innovative solutions to economic, social and other problems that arise during this period. Young people have the opportunity to contribute to the revival of the country through the development of new innovative solutions, research of social problems and other areas.
This year, the following topics were discussed:
 “Decentralization of power as an example of innovations in public administration under martial law”.
Discussant: fourth-year postgraduate student Nataliia Paterukha.
Supervisor: Doctor of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Hanna Komarnytska.
 “Formation of investment and innovation policy of regional development”
Discussant: first-year postgraduate student Maria Ustymenko.
Supervisor: Doctor of Science in Economics, Associate Professor Hanna Komarnytska.
 “Methods of public administration in providing a comprehensive system of smart city in agglomeration centers”.
Discussant: first-year postgraduate student Dmytro Pfister.
Supervisor: Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor Borys KARPINSKYI.
 “Administrative and territorial reform in the context of decentralization of power in Ukraine”.
Discussant: first-year postgraduate student Vitalii Liuliava.
Supervisor: candidate of science in public administration, associate professor Olena RESHOTA.
 “Theoretical and applied principles of social and governmental interaction between the public and local governments”.
Discussant: third-year postgraduate student Roman SAEVYCH.
Supervisor: Doctor of Science in Economics, Associate Professor Hanna Komarnytska.
In addition, the postgraduate students presented the results of their activities for the 2022-2023 academic year, highlighted scientific publications, participation in conferences and university events, the results of information education, and prospects for further work. The faculty of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management emphasized the relevance and innovation of dissertation research topics and how important it is to train future PhDs in Public Administration and Management. The result of the seminar is as follows:
– testing of research results;
– motivation to move forward despite any difficulties!
– The main thing is that each topic of graduate students has its own scientific zest, its own super-innovative idea and is waiting for a confident and effective implementation!
The event was held as part of the celebration of the Science Festival – 2023. The teaching staff of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management took an active part in the discussion, gave useful comments, offered scientific ideas and suggestions. At the end of the scientific seminar, graduate students received not only an exchange of information from a scientific point of view, but also from a practical one.
