Online seminar “Academic integrity” for higher education applicants of the ЕPP “Information technologies in business”

On May 1, 2024, Associate Professor of the Department of Digital Economy and Business Analytics Iryna BORSHCHUK conducted an online seminar on the topic “Academic Integrity” for applicants of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education, specialty 051 “Economics” ЕPP “Information Technologies in Business “.

The speaker familiarized the students with the basic norms of the Regulation “On Observance of Academic Integrity at Ivan Franko Lviv National University”, in particular, she drew attention to the concept of academic integrity, gave examples of violations of academic integrity in a higher educational institution and types of responsibility for non-compliance with these norms of behavior. Special attention was paid to the concept and types of plagiarism during students’ performance of the work provided for in the educational process.

During the meeting, a lively discussion was held regarding the main issues of academic integrity in the educational process, which was attended by both students and teachers of the Department of Digital Economy and Business Analytics, who were also present at the online seminar.
