Lecture-dispute “Conflicts” as part of the course “Soft Skills 2023”

On November 16, 2023, teachers of the Department of Financial Management took part in a lecture-dispute held as part of the “Soft Skills 2023” course by practicing psychologist Svitlana Nezabytovska. The theme of the lecture “Conflicts” has become extremely relevant in today’s conditions, as its theses are aimed at maintaining a friendly atmosphere in the team, avoiding conflicts or resolving them. The ability to work in a team is one of the main skills of a modern teacher who is forced to constantly communicate with students, colleagues, and management.

“How to define a conflict, how to behave in conflict situations, how to learn to identify the causes and resolve conflicts” – these and other issues were discussed at the meeting. The lecturer emphasized the sources of conflicts and modern approaches to their minimization. The participants took part in a lively discussion, during which they expressed their views on the styles of behavior in conflict situations, strategies and ways of solving them.

Acquiring new “Soft Skills” capable of helping to interact in a team is an indispensable element of the activity of a modern teacher, which the employees of the Department of Financial Management perfectly understand. They constantly strive to improve their professional and personal level by constantly acquiring new knowledge, skills and competencies. And precisely the conflictological aspect is the element of “soft skills” that a specialist needs in today’s realities.
