Dialogue with employers: practical recommendations for competence development from KPMG specialists

On October 11, 2023, there was a meeting of the winners of the educational programs “Finance, Customs and Tax Affairs”, “Financial Management” and the staff of the Department of Financial Management of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management with Maksym Voytsechovsky, director, head of the western region of KPMG in Ukraine.

The coordinator of the meeting is Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Financial Management Iryna Yasinovska

The speaker talked about the peculiarities of KPMG’s activities in Ukraine, its niche in the market of consulting and auditing services; the role of financiers in modern conditions; employment opportunities; requirements for the knowledge, skills and abilities of specialists.

Establishing communication between employers and applicants, providing information about job profiles, employers’ requirements for young professionals enable future specialists to better understand current labor market trends, employers’ needs, and teachers to update educational content, update it, make changes to educational components and programs. Students of higher education and teachers of the department actively participated in the discussion.

Such meetings contribute to the training of specialists who would be in demand on the labor market, the formation of graduates’ skills necessary for successful employment, passing the stages of the competition for vacant positions, career development and the start of professional success.
