The discipline “Public Procurement” is an elective discipline in the specialty “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market” for the educational program “Finance, Customs and Taxation”, which is taught in 3 semesters in the amount of 3 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS).
The educational discipline “Public Procurement” is designed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge, mandatory for the formation of students’ theoretical knowledge and practical skills regarding the conceptual approach to the organization and conduct of public procurement, the features of the algorithm of various types of competitive procedures, the formation of the content and basic requirements of tender documentation.

The purpose of studying the discipline “Public Procurement” is to master theoretical knowledge and form professional competencies in the organization and conduct of public procurement.
Objectives of the discipline:
• master the theoretical and organizational foundations of public procurement;
• acquire the ability to explain individual provisions of the legislation on the implementation of public procurement procedures;
• acquire knowledge on the organization and implementation of public procurement, the procedure for conducting procurement procedures;
• master the skills on issues that arise during the implementation of public procurement procedures;
• become familiar with the specifics and features of preparing competitive bidding documentation for various procurement items;
• become familiar with the criteria for evaluating competitive bidding proposals;
• master the skills of accepting and opening competitive bidding proposals.
