Course description

The subject of study of the discipline “Methodology of scientific research in finance” is a system of general principles and approaches of scientific knowledge, methods, technologies of knowledge related to scientific and practical professional activities in the field of finance. Mastering the subject of the discipline will contribute to the proper organization, successful writing and defense of master’s thesis on the educational program “Finance, Customs and Taxation”.

The purpose of studying the discipline is to acquaint master’s students with the necessary knowledge about the organization and conduct of research in the field of finance, as well as preparing them for independent research.
As a result of studying theoretical courses and conducting practical research on selected issues, young scientists should be able to select and analyze the necessary information, choose the object and subject for analysis, formulate goals, objectives and hypotheses, compare its results with theoretical justifications; to make certain generalizations and conclusions on the subject of scientific research in the field of finance.

The tasks of studying the discipline “Methodology of scientific research in finance” are:

• formation by students of the theoretical and practical basis for effective, qualified carrying out of scientific researches in the field of finance;
• acquaintance with the main forms of scientific work: methods of preparation of reports, speeches, specifics of writing articles, course and qualification (master’s, dissertation) works.
