The discipline “Financial Market” is a normative discipline in the specialty 072 “Finance, Banking and Insurance” for the educational program “Finance, Customs and Taxation”, which is taught in 1 semester in the amount of 4 credits (120 hours) (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS).
The educational discipline “Financial Market” is aimed at providing higher education applicants with the necessary knowledge regarding the content, principles and regularities of the functioning of the financial market, the place and role of its instruments in ensuring the financing of the needs of the state and the private sector.

The purpose of studying the discipline is to familiarize higher education applicants with the theoretical and applied aspects of the functioning and development of the financial market, as well as the specifics and organization of relations between its participants regarding the purchase and sale of financial assets.

The objectives of the discipline are:
– determining the place of the financial market in the country’s financial system and its role in the processes of accumulation and use of capital;
– studying the features of state regulation of the financial market, taking into account the specifics of the economic and social development of Ukraine;
– acquiring knowledge in the field of functioning of financial resources, assets and instruments, the features of their evaluation and use;
– getting acquainted with the specifics and features of the functioning of financial and credit institutions and infrastructure participants of the financial market;
– considering the features of the functioning of the financial market in terms of its segments.
