The discipline “Financial Management” is a normative discipline of the cycle of professional and practical training in the specialty “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market” for the educational program “Finance, Customs and Taxation”, which is taught in 1 semester in the amount of 5 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS).

The educational discipline “Financial Management” is aimed at forming in higher education applicants theoretical knowledge and practical skills in managing enterprise finances in modern business conditions (management of cash flows, capital, profit, enterprise assets, investment management, financial risks, anti-crisis management of enterprises).

The purpose of studying the academic discipline “Financial Management” is to form a system of knowledge and skills on financial management of enterprises of various organizational and legal forms and various forms of ownership in a market economy, mastering modern methods of strategic and operational financial management, as well as basic approaches to choosing, justifying and implementing the most effective financial decisions in the management process.

Objectives of the discipline “Financial Management”:

• study of the conceptual principles of financial management, their significance and impact on the efficiency of the enterprise;
• study of the mechanism of formation of cash flows of the enterprise and directions of their balancing over time;
• expansion of knowledge on issues of management of the enterprise’s assets, its capital, profit and investments;
• formation of skills in assessing the financial condition of the enterprise, financial forecasting and planning at the enterprise;
• formation of skills in anti-crisis management of enterprises.
