The discipline “Financial Management” is a regulatory discipline of the cycle of professional and practical training in the specialty “Finance, Banking, Insurance and the Stock Market” for the educational program “Finance, Customs and Tax Affairs”, which is taught in the 1st semester in the amount of 5 credits (according to the European Credit and Transfer System ЕСТС).

The educational discipline “Financial Management” is aimed at forming higher education students theoretical knowledge and practical skills in managing the finances of enterprises in modern business conditions (management of cash flows, capital, profit, enterprise assets, management of investments, financial risks, anti-crisis management of enterprises).

The purpose of studying the academic discipline “Financial Management” is to form a system of knowledge and skills in financial management of enterprises of various organizational and legal forms and various forms of ownership in the conditions of a market economy, mastering modern methods of strategic and operational financial management, as well as basic approaches to selection, justification and implementation of the most effective financial solutions in the management process.

Objectives of the “Financial Management” discipline:

– study of the conceptual foundations of financial management, their importance and influence on the efficiency of the enterprise;

– study of the mechanism of the formation of cash flows of the enterprise and directions of their balancing over time;

– expansion of knowledge on management of enterprise assets, its capital, profit and investments;

– formation of skills for assessing the financial state of the enterprise, financial forecasting and planning at the enterprise;

– formation of anti-crisis management skills of enterprises.
