The discipline “Financial Security of the State” is a normative discipline in the specialty “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market” for the educational program “Finance, Customs and Taxation”, taught in 1 semester in the amount of 3 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS).

The academic discipline “Financial Security of the State” is aimed at forming a system of knowledge among higher education students on methods of preventing, detecting and neutralizing threats to ensure the financial security of the state as a component of national and economic security and its functional elements.

The purpose of studying the discipline is to form a system of knowledge on issues of ensuring the financial security of the state as a component of economic and national security, as well as those of its functional elements that directly affect the level of development of the state’s economic system in the context of global transformations.

The objectives of the discipline are:

– clarification of the conceptual foundations of economic security;

– study of theoretical, organizational, legal and practical principles of financial security;

– Identification of the causes of threats, their tracking and prevention of financial security;

– determining the methodology for calculating the main indicators that ensure monitoring of the current state of financial security;

– determination of an integral indicator for assessing the financial security of the state;

– determining the directions of minimizing threats to financial security, taking into account the strategic priorities of the state’s socio-economic development.
