The subject of the discipline “Financial Security” is a set of forms and methods of identifying and preventing threats to the financial activities of financial institutions, the formation of their financial security, monitoring and evaluation of its condition, measures to maintain financial security at a level that ensures financial stability and independence of financial institutions. process of their activity and Ukraine as a whole.

The purpose of studying the discipline “Financial Security” is to form a system of knowledge on financial security of the state as a component of economic and national security, as well as those of its functional elements that directly affect the level of economic system in global transformations.

The tasks of studying the discipline “Financial Security” are:
– clarification of the conceptual foundations of the theory of economic security;
– study of theoretical, organizational, legal and practical principles of financial security;
– identification of causal links, sources and mechanism of threats to financial security;
– monitoring and prevention of existing and potential threats to financial security;
– disclosure of the methodology and mechanism for calculating the main indicators that monitor the current state of financial security;
– consideration of the methodology for assessing the financial security of the state with the definition of an integrated indicator, which is formed on the basis of relevant criteria and indicators;
– determination of directions of minimization of threats to financial security taking into account strategic priorities of social and economic development of the state.
