Excursions for students of the educational program “Accounting, analysis and financial investigations” to production companies of Lviv – VEEM-Metalavtoprom LLC and BRASH LLC

On September 19, 2023, under the slogan “My profession is my future”, associate professor of the Department of Accounting, Analysis and Control Shevtsiv L.Yu. an excursion was organized for students of groups UFO-11c, UFO-31c, UFO-41c of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv to production companies of Lviv – VEEM-Metalavtoprom LLC and BRASH LLC. Associate Professor of the Department of Accounting, Analysis and Control, Deputy Head of the Department for Organizational and Educational Work Loboda N.O. also joined the tour.

Students of the educational program “Accounting, Analysis and Financial Investigations” had the opportunity to learn about the activities of companies during the war, the work of accounting departments, the support of the state in various areas of activity, the European Union, and foreign investors.

The accountants of the companies confirmed to the students that a modern qualified accountant must know not only accounting methodology, but also various taxation schemes, tax planning methods, civil and administrative legislation on financial offenses, have practical experience as an accountant in one or more industries (production, construction, wholesale and retail trade, services, entertainment business, public catering, insurance business, etc.), as well as be able to use the functionality of one or more specialized accounting programs.

During the excursion, the students got acquainted with the features of using BAS (Business Automation Software) and “M.E.Doc” accounting software, which help accountants of companies to form operations, prepare accounting documents (expenditure, tax invoices, invoices and acts of various types), reporting. This enables accountants to effectively use their working time, to reduce the workload during peak reporting periods, to cooperate with banks and institutions, suppliers and customers.

Direct communication with the employees of VEEM-Metalavtoprom LLC and BRASH LLC made it possible to break a lot of stereotypes formed by students about the importance of the work of accountants and workers in the production sector and to get a lot of positive emotions. During the excursion, students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers, what should be strived for, what qualities should a specialist accountant-manager possess in the modern period of sustainable development, work at a manufacturing enterprise with a wonderful microclimate, a young friendly team, healthy ambitions, and a unique organizational culture.
