Professional Development in “Public Management and Administration” for Hanna Komarnytska

Hanna Komarnytska, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor and Head of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management at the Faculty of Financial Management and Business of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, participated in the international educational project “Women in Diplomacy: Challenge or Mission?”.

The project launched on March 22, 2024, with an online event “Women in Scientific and Educational Diplomacy: How to Contribute to Shaping a Positive Image of Ukraine?”. This is part of a large-scale series of meetings planned for March-June 2024, which is a continuation of the 2023 series of events dedicated to the role of women in diplomacy.

The educational cycle was organized by the Scientific Society of History of Diplomacy and International Relations, the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Ukraine, and other partners. It is part of the “Women’s Face of Diplomacy” project led by Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Iryna Matiash.

As a result of her participation, Professor Hanna Komarnytska received an English-language certificate confirming the completion of a professional development course in “Public Management and Administration”. The program included 30 hours of training and 1 ECTS credit. The certificates were issued based on the license from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Project participants, including representatives from various countries such as Ukraine, USA, Germany, Poland, and others, had the opportunity to interact with 29 experts – current diplomats, veterans of diplomatic service, scholars, and public figures. In total, over 490 registered participants from various fields took part in the events: diplomats, civil servants, scientists, journalists, and representatives of Ukrainian communities abroad.

This professional development program is an important step in Hanna Komarnytska’s professional growth and contributes to strengthening her expertise in the field of public administration and international relations.
