EDUCATIONAL HOUR ON “UKRAINIANS WHO CHANGED THE WORLD”

Ukraine is a land rich in talents. Many world-famous great scientists, artists, composers, actors, athletes, politicians were born in Ukraine or they have Ukrainian roots. On May 19, within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Festival of Science and Development of National-Patriotic Education, students of the UFF-15c group of the educational program “Finance, Customs and Tax Affairs” (advisor – Ph.D., Associate Professor of Financial Management Popovych Daria) held an educational hour “Ukrainians who changed the world.” 25 students of the group told about 25 famous Ukrainians who glorified their homeland from princely times to the present. During the meeting, they discussed both the achievements of famous compatriots and interesting facts from their biographies, which gave the opportunity to learn a lot of new things and further strengthened the student youth’s sense of pride for their country.

Carrying out of such actions consists in creation of bases for systematic and purposeful activity on education of the young person – the patriot of Ukraine ready to build selflessly as sovereign, democratic, legal and social state, to show national dignity, to know and civilly defend the civil rights and to carry out duties, to promote civil peace and harmony in society, to be competitive, to successfully self-realize in society as a citizen, family man, professional, bearer of Ukrainian national culture.
