Опис курсу

The discipline “Introduction to the profession and academic integrity” is a normative discipline in the specialty C1 “Economics and international economic relations”, specialization C1.01 “Economics” for the educational program “Digital Economy”, which is taught in the 1st semester in the amount of 4 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS).

The purpose of the academic discipline is to form in students a holistic idea of ​​​​the chosen specialty, its professional prospects and the digital context of activity, as well as the development of basic skills of algorithmic thinking, working with information and adherence to the principles of academic integrity as the basis of the professional culture of a future specialist.

Objectives of the academic discipline:

  1. To familiarize students with the structure of the educational program and the professional opportunities of a graduate.
  2. To form an understanding of the essence of the digital economy and its impact on modern business.
  3. To provide basic knowledge of business analysis as a tool for making management decisions.
  4. To form an idea of ​​algorithmization, the basics of programming and number systems.
  5. To develop logical and analytical thinking skills.
  6. To introduce the principles of academic integrity and the rules of academic writing.
  7. To promote the formation of digital and communication competencies necessary for professional growth.
