Опис курсу
The curriculum of the discipline “Introduction to the specialty” is an integral part of the methodological support of the educational process for the preparation of bachelors of the branch of knowledge 05 “Social and Behavioral Sciences” in the specialty 051 “Economics” specialization “Information Technologies in Business”.
The subject of the discipline
The subject of the discipline “Introduction to the specialty” is the theoretical and methodological, organizational, economic and practical aspects of the application of information technology in business.
The purpose of the discipline
The purpose of studying the discipline “Introduction to the specialty” is the formation of the professional worldview of the future information technology specialist in business, a holistic view of his essence and role in modern society.
Main goals
The main objectives of the discipline “Introduction to the specialty” – the expansion of the worldview in the field of modern computer technologies; formation of students of a sufficient level of knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for further study of disciplines of professional and practical training of a future specialist in information technologies in business.
Place of the academic discipline in the structural and logical scheme
The discipline “Introduction to the specialty” is interconnected with such disciplines as “Algorithmization and Programming”, “Information and Communication Technologies” and “Object-Oriented Programming”.
Requirements for knowledge and skills
The study of an academic discipline presupposes the achievement of such a qualification level of the student’s training, at which he must:
a) know
- socio-economic effects of the introduction of information technology;
- elements of the theory of algorithms, procedural and visual programming,
- general principles of building algorithms,
- basic algorithmic constructions;
- stages of solving problems using a computer,
- the concept of data types and operations on data of various types;
- principles of structured and procedural programming;
- principles of using number systems;
- methods and algorithms for sorting data;
- principles of organization and functioning of the Internet of Things;
- existing technologies of the Internet of things;
- software development life cycle models;
- programming methodology;
- ways of implementing typical tasks arising in the development of software products;
b) be able
- manipulate numerical data presented in various number systems;
- choose the necessary information technologies for solving practical problems;
- formalize an applied problem and interpret it in terms of programming;
- develop algorithms for solving typical mathematical and applied problems;
- choose efficient algorithms for data sorting;
- compose linear, cyclic and branched algorithms using simple and structured data types;
- use the capabilities of computer networks and use the services of the Internet;
- choose software design methods;
- apply knowledge of the discipline in practice.
