The discipline “Banking System” is a normative educational component in the specialty “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market” for the educational program “Finance, Customs and Taxation”, which is taught in 6 semesters in the amount of 4 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS).

The purpose of studying the academic discipline is to form in future specialists professional knowledge in the field of commercial activities of banks, study the rules of organizing banking and the functioning of the banking system as a whole.

Objectives of the academic discipline:

– to give a holistic idea of ​​the concept, structure, functions, main tasks of the banking system;

– to understand the purpose of the banking system and its elements;

– to possess methods of conducting banking operations and providing banking services;

– to know the principles of analyzing banking activities;

– to acquire skills and abilities in using international experience in regulating banking activities and applying tools in ensuring the financial security of banks.
