The discipline “Insurance Management” is a normative discipline in the specialty D2 “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market” for the educational program “Finance, Customs and Taxation”, taught in the 2nd semester in the amount of 3 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS)

The educational discipline “Insurance Management” is aimed at mastering theoretical knowledge, skills and practical abilities in the field of insurance management, theoretical and methodological approaches to the formation of a management system in insurance companies, familiarization with priority areas of development of insurance management taking into account modern economic processes in Ukraine.

The purpose of studying the discipline of the academic discipline “Insurance Management” is to form in students knowledge of the basics and methods of insurance management, issues of preparation and implementation of decisions when managing business processes of insurance companies, acquisition of practical skills in the rational formation and effective use of the potential of insurers and the ability to apply them in the professional sphere.

Objectives of the academic discipline:

– study of the essence, role and mechanism of insurance management;

– study of the means of organization and development of an insurance company and regulation of insurance activities;

– mastering the main areas of insurance management based on domestic and foreign experience;

– acquisition of practical skills in planning and making management decisions when carrying out insurance, reinsurance and investment activities of insurance companies.
