The purpose of studying the discipline “Insurance” is to master the theory and practice of insurance, consistent formation of students’ knowledge of the insurance market, acquiring skills of financial and economic work in the field of insurance, studying the functioning of insurance companies in market conditions, setting insurance rates insurance as a mechanism for reducing risks in practice.

The main tasks

– clarification of the objective necessity, essence, functions, principles and role of insurance in a market economy;

– coverage of the organization and ways of development of the insurance market and state regulation of insurance activities;

– consideration of the conditions of personal and property insurance, liability insurance, reinsurance from the standpoint of domestic and foreign experience;

– study of features and ways of improvement of financial activity of insurers.
