Meeting of students of higher education with a practicing specialist on the topic: “Adaptation of business to external and internal conditions”

Cooperation of the department of digital economy and business analytics with business leaders is a necessary condition for the training of highly professional specialists and a guarantee of their further successful employment after completing their studies at a higher education institution. Guest lectures are one of the forms of such cooperation with potential employers for students of higher education. Yes, on October 10, 2023, at the invitation of Dr. Iryna RUDOY, within the framework of studying the disciplines “Marketing analytics” and “Information and communication technologies”, a meeting was held with Olena ANATIYCHUK, director of “Water sports complex” LLC (Aquapark PLYAZH) and director of the chemical laboratory AQUAlab.

Topic of the meeting: “Adaptation of business to external and internal conditions”.

The lecturer considered the following questions:

• How to feel changes in the market that affect you?
• Where to start implementing changes (work with the team, client, supplier)?
• What will your future strategy depend on?

The speaker told how well-known companies managed to survive after declaring bankruptcy in 2020, and about 4 levels of uncertainty. Students had the opportunity to practically calculate markup and margin and see the difference between them, in particular, which of them is the main indicator of the trend of the level of profitability of a business. And also how to practically do PEST and SWOT analysis to assess the external and internal environment of the company.

The lecture-discussion took place in a creative and friendly atmosphere, and the presented information interested the students, who felt the importance and prospects of the chosen profession.
