MEETING OF THE DISCUSSION CLUB OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT ON THE TOPIC: “PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT: COMPETITIVE CHALLENGES OF TODAY” WITHIN THE “FESTIVAL OF SCIENCE – 2023”

   Оn May 17, 2023, at the Department of Public Administration and Business Management of the Faculty of Finance and Business Administration of the Ivan Franko National University, a traditional scientific event took place – a Discussion Club on the topic: “Public management and administration: competitive challenges of today”, timed for the “Festival of Science – 2023” . The event took place within the framework of international cooperation between the Department of Public Administration and Business Management, the scientific group “State Creator” and the scientific group of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (Lublin, Poland).

The meeting of the Discussion Club was opened by the head of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management, Doctor of Economics, Professor G. Komarnytska, emphasizing the relevance of the topic of the scientific event in the conditions of martial law and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

The head of the Interregional Department of the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service in the Lviv and Zakarpattia Regions Yaroslav  Koval  and the Deputy Head of the Interregional Department of the NADS in the Lviv and Transcarpathia Regions Mykola Trofymenko gave a welcoming speech at the scientific event.

Students of the specialty 281 “Public administration and administration” of the educational program “Public administration and business administration” of all years of study and students of the Institute of Mathematics, Informatics and Landscape Design of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (Lublin, Poland) joined the event.

This year’s event focused on problematic aspects of public management and administration in wartime and post-war reconstruction. In the discussion, the issues of competitive features of the corporate restructuring of the economy of Ukraine in the post-war period, mechanisms of involvement of civil society institutions in the processes of state formation, measures of public administration to ensure the competitiveness of relocated enterprises, state support of the system of small and medium-sized businesses of Ukraine, processes of administration of business activities in conditions of war, features of public administration were considered. functioning of local self-government, prospects for cooperation between public authorities and civil society, etc.
