YOUTH MODEL OF THE PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY OF NATO

On November 19, the Youth Model of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly took place in the session hall of the Lviv Regional Council, in which 73 participants from 9 universities of Lviv and Ukraine, including the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, took part.

The invited guests of the NATO Youth PA were Iryna Hrymak – Head of the Lviv Regional Council, Olga Stefanishyna – Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Ruksandra Popa – Secretary General of the NATO PA, Vineta Kleine – Director of the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine, Hanna Hopko – Head of the VRU Committee on Foreign Affairs, Yaroslav Hartsula – Honorary Consul of His Majesty the King of Belgium in the Western Region of Ukraine, Solomiya Bobrovska – Deputy Head of the Permanent Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

During two months, the participants of the NATO PA attended a course of 10 lectures by leading scientists not only of Ukraine, but also of the world. The Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly, the Secretary General, and the heads of the committees were chosen. Each committee then prepared resolutions that were voted on and approved by all delegates during the Model.

Among the participants were students of the first (bachelor) level of higher education major 281 Public administration and administration of the educational program, Public administration and business management of Lviv National University of  Ivan Franko. The Faculty of Finance and Business Management, the Department of Public Administration and Business Management was represented by: Kormylo Marіia (UFP-31c), who represented the Republic of Azerbaijan in the political committee, and Bodnaruk Nadiіа (UFP-31c) – represented Canada in the economy and security committee. They had opportunity to exchange their views on current problems of our time, and propose their solutions. And also try themselves in the role of delegates of various countries. For their active participation in the work of the youth model of the PA NATO in Lviv, the participants were awarded with certificates and valuable gifts.
