During the plenary session, the problems of Ukraine’s accession to the EU with possible scenarios and challenges were discussed, as well as the problems of supporting democracy outside the European Union: challenges and prospects for the countries of the European neighborhood – acceptance of changes.

A separate block at the Congress was the holding of a workshop based on the EUCPASU project by Jean Monet on the topic “EU REGIONAL AND COHESION POLICY: SUCCESS SECRETS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF TERRITORIES” (a joint project of the faculties of international relations, finance and business management, and journalism). Among the topics discussed were the following: a general overview of regional policy and the policy of grouping in the EU, analysis of EU tools for sustainable development, the role of Ukrainian migrant women in the Polish labor market. Prof. Halyna Kaplenko discussed the problem of EU policymakers regarding growth and employment through the perspective of sustainable development goals. Assoc. Vasyl Zelenko focused his report on the problems of Lviv Oblast communities during and after the full-scale invasion, particularly regarding economic development, socialization and peacebuilding.

In addition, two panel discussions “UNIVERSITIES AS AGENTS OF CHANGES DURING DEMOCRATIC TRANSITIONS” and “EUROPEAN PROJECTS AS A GRASS-BASED TOOL FOR SUPPORTING THE EUROPEAN INTEGRATION OF UKRAINE: THE PRACTICE OF IMPLEMENTATION DURING THE WAR” were held within the framework of the Congress.

This UAS Congress once again played the role of a platform for the exchange of experience in the field of European studies. The participants brought forward for further research and discussion a number of urgent problems of the current state and future of post-war Ukraine on the way to joining the European Union.
