PROGRESSIVE ISLANDS: training for coordinators

On May 18, Lviv hosted a training for coordinators of the Progressive Isles with the support of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. Coordinator of the Progressive Island of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management Hanna Komarnytska took part in the event.

The offline events of the NGO “Progressive” inspire new achievements, as evidenced by the growing number of Progressive Islands in various educational institutions. Since the beginning of the initiative, there have been more than 50 of them across Ukraine. Scaling the project requires high-quality content, and coordinators need to unify knowledge and support.
As part of the training, participants worked on the following topics:
– High-quality promotion of Ostrovky: life hacks from communicators;
– How to strengthen the capacity of Ostrovky: preparing grant applications;
– Publik talk for educators. How to be heard through local initiatives at the national level;
– Changes begin with ourselves, and archipelagos start with small islands.
Participation in such events allows our University to be at the forefront of educational innovations and qualitative changes. Academic exchange opportunities are open to the educational community for both students and teachers who join progressive initiatives and contribute to the development of education in Ukraine.
