Career orientation work of the Department of Digital Economy and Business Analytics with students who are members of the Lviv Regional Small Academy of Sciences

On May 8, 2023, the head of the Department of Digital Economy and Business Analytics, Iryna SHEVCHUK, at the Faculty of Finance and Business Management, held a lecture-meeting “Scenarios of using ChatGPT in programming” with students of the computer science and mathematics departments of the ENT ENT “Lviv Regional Small Academy of Pupil Youth Sciences”.

The participants of the meeting had the opportunity to discuss many issues. In particular, the pros and cons of a chatbot with a large language model from OpenAI for the development of modern society. We exchanged opinions about its possibilities for learning and programming. We experimented with formulating questions for this kind of virtual assistant. They discussed the disappearance and emergence of new professions, the emergence of upheavals in the labor market. They also focused attention on what the robot cannot do.

At the end of the meeting, Iryna SHEVCHUK wished everyone present to be successful, to use ChatGPT as a new opportunity for development, and invited her to study at the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of LNU. I. Franko under the educational program “Information technologies in business”.
