Participation of teachers of the Department of Economics and Public Administration in the seminar-discussion “INTEGRATION OF UKRAINIAN UNIVERSITIES INTO EUROPEAN DIGITAL INNOVATIVE NETWORKS”

On February 18, 2022, teachers of the Department of Economics and Public Administration (Head of the Department of Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor Halyna Kaplenko, Ph.D., Associate Professor Vasyl Zelenko) took part in the online seminar discussion “INTEGRATION OF UKRAINIAN UNIVERSITIES INTO EUROPEAN DIGITAL INNOVATION NETWORKS”. The event was held within the framework of the EU4USOCIETY project, support for the “Moving Together” program, the International Renaissance Foundation and the NGO “Agency for European Innovations”, the main speaker and moderator was Ivan Kulchytskyy, head of the NCP ICT program Horizon 2020.

It was discussed what European innovation networks are and what challenges and opportunities they generate for Ukrainian organizations. The main information and organizational portals of EU programs, in which Ukrainian universities can participate, in particular, were also considered in detail. The advantages of innovative approaches to capacity building in the higher education system are indicated.

Particular attention was paid to the analysis of the activities of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine regarding the research cooperation of higher education institutions with business, the main tools of which are divided into: financial, digital and information and communication. Concrete examples of such cooperation were demonstrated.

In general, the event was accompanied by questions and comments of the participants, since universities of Ukraine should constantly carry out a number of innovative changes in accordance with the challenges of the digital transformation era of the state.
