Participation in the briefing “Preliminary assessment mission for Ukraine’s accession to the Convention on a common transit procedure and NCTS – Ukraine’s progress and next steps”

November 25, 2021 Associate Professor of Financial Management Dubyk V.Ya. listened to a press briefing held by the State Customs Service of Ukraine on “Preliminary assessment mission for Ukraine’s accession to the Convention on a common transit procedure and NCTS – Ukraine’s progress and next steps.”

The speakers of the briefing were Yuriy Draganchuk, Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine for European Integration; Vladyslav Suvorov, Deputy Head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine; Serhiy Demchenko, Director of the Department for Implementation of the International Transit System of the State Customs Service of Ukraine; Michael Ratier, Head of the Preliminary Assessment Mission of the signatory countries to the Convention on the Common Transit Procedure, Director of the Transit Division of the Directorate-General for Taxation and Customs Union of the European Commission (DG TAXUD).

During the event, issues of Ukraine’s progress and plans to implement the rules of the Convention and NCTS, preliminary results of the mission and expectations from Ukraine for successful accession to the system were highlighted.
