Online meeting with business analyst at EPAM Systems Natalia Petryshak

On May 25, 2021 at the invitation of the lecturer of the Department of Digital Economics and Business Analytics Bohdan Deputy for students of the educational program “Information Technology in Business” specialty 051 “Economics” (groups UFE-21s and UFE-31s) was a guest lecture by Natalia Petryshak – business -analyst of EPAM Systems. Prior to business analysis in the IT field, Ms. Natalia worked as a credit analyst in the banking sector and a business analyst in such areas as: Retail, Construction, Learning management, E-commerce, Marketing, Human Resource management, Finance.

Lecture topic “Modeling Basics”.

In the process of communication with students, the speaker touched upon important issues of modeling and graphical representation of business processes. She also introduced students to the features of Context Data Flow (DFD) imaging, ERD entity set relationships, UML charts, BPMN business process interaction diagrams, and Mind Mapping relationships. At the end of the lecture, students together with the lecturer modeled the functionality for a banking application using a UseCase-diagram.

The lecture took place in a creative and friendly atmosphere. The presented material aroused the interest of students who felt the importance and prospects of the chosen profession.
