Informal education in the educational process of students of the ЕP “Information technologies in business”

Professional training at the Ivan Franko Lviv National University under the OP “Information Technologies in Business” specialty 051 “Economics” at the Department of Digital Economy and Business Analytics of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management is aimed at innovative methods of forming qualified economists with a high level of awareness of the digitalization of the economy and the course of socio-economic processes in the IT industry through the introduction of informal education, which is one of the effective ways of improving knowledge, acquiring additional competencies and acquiring new professional skills.

Thus, in the period from November 21 to December 15, 2023, students of the OP “Information Technologies in Business” together with the head of the Department of Digital Economy and Business Analytics, Professor Iryna SHEVCHUK, took the course “Business through the eyes of the owner: From Start-up to IPO”. This is an educational initiative from the Deloitte company, whose professionals talk about how to create a company and make it successful.

Course participants had the opportunity to gain unique knowledge about various areas of business management: finance, audit, taxes and law, cyber security, operational management, risk management, by listening to the following lectures:

  • Startups in Ukraine – rethinking approaches to doing business during the war.
  • Do the numbers lie, or how to read financial statements?
  • Building effective teams.
  • Building a trusted brand.
  • Business Cyber Security.
  • Management of tax flows.
  • Business valuation from startup to IRO.
  • IPO as the pinnacle of business capitalization.

In addition, there are life hacks and insights from experts after each lecture, certificates and gifts for the best course participants, many interesting conversations and the AsOne atmosphere.

The knowledge and skills obtained as part of listening to the lectures of the course complement the knowledge and skills, the assimilation and acquisition of which by students is provided for by the OP “Information technologies in business”.
