Interdepartmental scientific and methodical seminar on the topic: “Modern problems of the use of information technologies in accounting, taxation and public administration”
On May 14, 2024, as part of the annual Science Festival at the Ivan Franko Lviv National University at the Faculty of Finance and Business Management, an inter-federal scientific and methodical seminar on the topic: “Modern problems of the application of information technologies in accounting, taxation and public administration” was held.
The scientific and methodological seminar was held within the cooperation of the departments of digital economy and business analytics (head – Doctor of Economics, professor I.B. Shevchuk), accounting, analysis and control (acting head of the department – professor Ye Romaniv .M.), public administration and business management (head – Doctor of Economics, Professor G.O. Komarnytska).
The organizers of the event were Orest Myshchyshyn, Svitlana Pryimak and Borys Karpinskyi.
Stakeholders of the educational and professional programs “Information Technologies in Business”, “Accounting, Analysis and Financial Investigations”, “Public Administration and Business Management”, business representatives, professors and associate professors of departments of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management, students of higher education were invited to the seminar.
Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor Andriy Stasyshyn welcomed the participants of the seminar, emphasized the importance of holding such events, updated the problems of the professional use of information technologies in the modern digital environment, and wished all moderators and speakers successful speeches, and the participants of the meeting – fruitful productive work.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the possibilities of introducing the concept of Industry 4.0, new programs for automated accounting and taxation, electronic document management, Microsoft 365 tools into the educational components of the relevant curricula, which will allow modernizing educational programs and ensuring their compliance with the requirements of the modern labor market. In addition, attention was paid to the topic of legal indifference in the conditions of martial law, which is an urgent problem in modern realities, and to highlight the issue of using open data in public authorities.
The event was held at a high level, providing an opportunity to exchange practical-oriented information between the participants. The issues of improvement of educational programs, cooperation with stakeholders and students of higher education, as well as analysis of the implementation of modern digital technologies and models in business, accounting, taxation and the digital economy were discussed. The participants of the seminar actively participated in the discussion of debatable issues and produced new ideas and proposals for solving urgent problems that exist in the field of information technology application.
