Meeting with the head of the central branch and HRD of Bank Lviv as part of the Step to Career project.

On March 25, 2024, the Department of Financial Management of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management, with the support of the Career Development Department of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, organized a meeting of students of the Finance, Customs and Taxation program with the Head of the Central Branch of Bank Lviv Mariana Shostak and HRD of Bank Lviv Lidia Melnyk as part of the KROK do Karier project.

The speakers presented the main aspects of Bank Lviv’s activities and values and outlined the requirements for the necessary level of qualification of specialists in various segments of banking in the current environment.

During the meeting, the attendees had the opportunity to learn about the main banking products and the peculiarities of working in a commercial bank.

The students were particularly interested in the information on internships and training at the Banker’s School, which is held at Lviv Bank, with the possibility of further employment.

Meetings with practitioners as an important component of training highly qualified specialists are useful because they deepen the knowledge of applicants, help them develop professional competencies and form organizational, communication and other social skills (soft skills).

Such meetings and constructive dialogues between students, faculty, and practitioners motivate students to acquire knowledge and contribute to their successful employment. Another important result of such meetings is the recommendations of practitioners on the structure and content of individual educational components in the context of acquiring practical skills.

The participants of the event agreed on future meetings and close cooperation.
