MEETING OF WORKING GROUPS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS OF THE SPECIALTY 072 “FINANCE, BANKING, INSURANCE AND THE STOCK MARKET”

On February 9, 2023, a meeting of members and guarantors of working groups on the development of educational programs “Finance, banking, insurance and the stock market” of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education was held at the department of financial management with the participation of the head of the department, prof. Sytnyk N.S., teachers and students studying under the specified educational programs.

The guarantors of educational programs are associate professors Oksana Zahidna, Yulia Shushkova and prof. Ulyana Vatamaniuk noted the need to make changes to educational programs in connection with the change of the name of the specialty. According to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of December 16, 2022 No. 1392 “On Amendments to the List of Fields of Knowledge and Specialties for which Higher Education Candidates are Trained” the name of the specialty “Finance, Banking and Insurance” was changed to “Finance, Banking , insurance and the stock market”. In particular, the members of the working group proposed to include disciplines related to the stock market in the mandatory block of educational programs of the first (bachelor’s) level and second (master’s) level, as well as supplement the catalog of optional components of the educational program with relevant disciplines, which will allow for in-depth study according to the specified direction and ensuring program learning results.

In addition, the applicants’ proposals regarding changes in the structure of educational components and the content of the work programs of individual disciplines were discussed.
