Lecturers of the Department of Financial Management took part in an international internship

During October 23-29, 2023, assistant professors of the Department of Financial Management, Iryna Yasinovska and Olga Sych, as part of the Ivan Franko Lviv National University delegation, visited Vilnius University (Lithuania) to participate in the “Arqus for Ukraine” project. The Arqus project is an alliance of European universities that share academic, scientific, and cultural goals, a common vision of the role of higher education and research, and common areas of interest.

Within the scope of the internship program, lecturers had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the history and modernity of Vilnius University, the best practices in the organization of the educational process, the work of the international and student departments, visit the library and university faculties. Speakers and guests of the event exchanged experience in implementing the Arqus university alliance project, supporting international educational and scientific projects, and prospects for future cooperation between Ukrainian universities and European universities. Associate professors Iryna Yasinovska and Olga Sych took part in a working meeting with the staff of the Vilnius Business School and discussed current trends in the development of business education in the European Union, outlined the common interests of the business school and the Faculty of Financial Management and Business. At the invitation of Lithuanian colleagues, teachers of the Department of Financial Management attended a lecture by Dr. Eimantas Kamienas on the topic “Fundamentals of Project Management” and gained experience in teaching disciplines in English. Participation in an international internship of this level allowed representatives of Lviv University to deepen international relations for the improvement and development of educational and scientific projects at IFNUL. Participation in the internship is confirmed by certificates of professional development. The lecturers of the Department of Financial Management would like to thank the international office of Vilnius University and the internship manager Skirmante Savickaite, as well as the Department of International Relations of IFNUL for supporting and organizing the internship.
