Round table “Business analyst in the IT field, employment opportunities and development prospects”

On May 22, 2024, as part of the All-Ukrainian Science Festival at the Ivan Franko Lviv National University, a round table was held at the Department of Digital Economy and Business Analytics of the Ivan Franko Lviv National University on the topic: “Business analyst in the IT field, employment opportunities and development prospects “. Mrs. Liliya Spornyak, a business analyst of the SoftServe Business System company, was invited to the discussion, who directly presented her work experience as a business analyst in one of the leading IT companies of Ukraine. Students of UFE-21, UFE-31 and UFE-41 groups also gave presentations on the relevance and popularity of the business analyst profession in the IT field today.

During the event, a lively discussion took place, in which the teachers of the department and students of the first (bachelor) level of higher education, specialty 051 “Economics” OP “Information technologies in business” took part. The subject of the discussion was questions about the main hard and soft skills of a business analyst, concepts and techniques of business analysis used in the IT field, in particular process modeling ((Process Modeling), workshops (Workshop), use cases and scenarios (Use cases and scenarios ), user stories (User stories), team games (Collaborative Games) and a number of other important aspects of the business analyst profession.
