INCREASING THE PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF THE TEACHER AS A GUARANTEE OF THE QUALITY TRAINING OF THE FINANCIAL STUDENT

From March 16, 2023 to May 11, 2023, scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Financial Management took part in a series of training seminars on the topic: “Analysis and visualization of financial and economic data”, organized with the assistance of the Center for Quality Assurance of Education of Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko.

The internship was moderated by the head of the department, prof. Natalia Sytnyk.

The speaker is Orest Myshchyshyn, associate professor of the Department of Digital Economy and Business Analytics.

The cycle of training seminars of the internship program included training seminars on 8 topics:

Topic 1. Mathematical modeling of financial and economic processes. Financial and economic analysis of the education system.

Topic 2. Tools for analysis and visualization of financial and economic data. Types of charts and graphs, dashboards, management, filtering and sorting tools.

Topic 3. Data grouping, creation of hierarchical structures, data transformation. Auxiliary mathematical material.

Topic 4. Analysis and forecasting of financial and economic processes. Types of trends.

Topic 5. General one-factor financial model of morbidity dynamics.

Topic 6. Multifactor financial and economic model. Types of factors, finding coefficients. Trend, seasonality and other random activities

Topic 7. Dynamic distribution model

Topic 8. Random nature of socio-economic processes. Dynamic stochastic wage model.

The result of the internship was mastering the skills of applying a criterion approach for searching and analyzing the necessary information, using innovative approaches and technologies for processing, analysis, visualization and forecasting of financial and economic processes using modeling methods.

Participation in such trainings allows teachers to improve their abilities and skills and acquire new competencies that can be used in professional activities to improve the quality of conducting research in qualification (master’s) theses, forming reports on pre-diploma practice and completing coursework under the educational program “Finance, customs and tax affairs”.
