IMPROVEMENT OF TEACHING SKILLS
Since October 1, 2020 to January 21, 2021 in Ivan Franko National University of Lviv within the project implementation “Program for improving teaching in higher education” was implemented Program for professional development of research and teaching staff ” IMPROVEMENT OF TEACHING SKILLS”. The teaching staff of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management has successfully completed all 4 modules of this training program.
Professor Kateryna Vaskivska, Associate Professor Hanna Komarnytska, Associate Professor Larysa Bobko, Associate Professor Olena Gerasimenko and Associate Professor Olena Reshota improved their communication skills and the use of active learning methods, development of blended learning skills and information technologies.
The course is built on a modular structure and aimed to improve teaching skills through the introduction of active learning methods, development of blended learning skills and the use of information technology.
The program of this course is focused on modern principles of quality assurance of education and combined 4 modules:
- The basic principles of the modern system of higher education.
- Modern IT competencies in the work of freelance teachers.
- Professional communication of the teacher: psychological and pedagogical principles.
- Media literacy and international communication.
During the training, teachers had the opportunity to listen to trainings with the participation of National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance experts, update the program of at least one discipline, develop an e-course and learn to use all the features of the MOODLE platform. Also familiar with the algorithm training materials for accreditation of educational programs and mastered the necessary skills for the individual support of students during training (coaching, mentoring). Gained experience in using web resources both in the educational process and in building the promotion of the educational program.
Congratulations to the teachers of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management with the receipt of relevant certificates of advanced training (180 hours, 6 credits). 180 hours of lectures and practical classes from leading experts in education and business, is an invaluable help Ivan Franko National University of Lviv for teachers during the pandemic
