On October 7-8, 2023, Hanna Komarnytska, Head of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management at the Faculty of Finance and Business Management, took part in trainings on digital accessibility organized by the Institute for Innovative Governance in Lviv.

The trainings were held within the framework of the UNDP Ukraine / UNDP Ukraine project “Promoting Human Security in Ukraine through Response to the Multidimensional Crisis Caused by War”, which is implemented with the financial support of the Government of Japan.

The goal of the trainings is to raise awareness of the importance of digital accessibility, teach participants the basics of digital accessibility, and develop practical recommendations for adapting online platforms for people with disabilities.

More than 30 people took part in the trainings, including representatives of civil society organizations, businesses, and government. Such events contribute to the development of cooperation with practitioners and the acquired competencies can be used to improve the educational component of e-government and e-democracy. Modern knowledge and skills will help to improve the educational program “Public Administration and Business Management”, which is aimed at training new generation managers with modern knowledge of public administration and management.

The Institute for Innovative Governance is an analytical center and a non-governmental organization that works to promote inclusive digital democracy and governance, as well as the protection of digital rights in Ukraine.

The organization is engaged in analytical and research work, as well as the implementation of a number of projects in Ukraine and the Eastern Partnership countries, the goal of which is to promote the development of inclusive digital democracy and governance.

Thank you to the organizers for the invitation! Thank you to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to live and learn!
