Guest lecture by Andriy ZANKA, General Director of Cardboard and Paper Factory LLC

On April 11, 2023, Andrii ZANKO, General Director of Cardboard and Paper Factory LLC, held a guest lecture discussion on the topic: “The phenomenon of stability of Ukrainian business in war conditions” at Ivan Franko Lviv National University for students of the second (master’s) level of higher education in the specialty 051 “Economics” OP “Information technologies in business”.

The lecture was given at the Faculty of Finance and Business Management, in particular to the graduate students of the Department of Digital Economy and Business Analytics during the study of the academic discipline “Macroeconomic Analysis” (lecturer, Associate Professor Iryna BORSCHUK).

During the lecture, Andrii ZANKO told the students of higher education about the history of the establishment of Cardboard and Paper Factory LLC, the dynamics of its development, the peculiarities of the structure, and its role in the development of the foreign economic activity of the region; focused on all the negative aspects that the company faced since the beginning of the war and ways to solve them.

During the event, a lively discussion took place, in which the teachers of the department and master’s students participated, on the subject of:

• how the company managed not only to maintain but also to increase production volumes and expand sales markets to EU countries;
• what challenges did business face during the war;
• how is the automation of business processes at the enterprise and what are the plans in this direction in the future;
• which information systems are used to analyze competitors on the market, interact with customers, public authorities, within the company, etc.;
• what professional competencies do you need to have in order to get a job in the company’s marketing or information and analytical departments.

Recommendations and wishes of practitioners regarding the structure of individual educational components will be used in the preparation of work programs of the educational program “Information Technologies in Business”.
