Olesya SHEVCHUK’s guest lecture for students of higher education OPP “Information technologies in business” on the topic “ERP Odoo as a modern tool for automating business processes”

On November 20, 2023, as part of teaching the academic discipline “Automation of Business Processes” (teacher: Vaskiv O. M.), students of the UFE-21s group of the educational program “Information Technologies in Business” of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of the Ivan Franko National University listened to a lecture in within the scope of research on the topic “ERP solutions for automating business processes” (speaker: Olesya Shevchuk, representative of the Odoo community in Ukraine).

The following questions were discussed at the lecture:

• Odoo as an ERP system.
• Odoo plugins and modules.
• Odoo tools for building websites.
• Odoo and GPT Chat.
• Reporting. Instrument panel for automation of accounting operations.

The practical part of the lecture provided students with the automation of the processes of interaction of several modules, namely, the project approach to business processes, the creation of e-commerce stores was considered.

At the end of the meeting, Ms. Olesya informed the students about the possibility of e-learning on the Odoo platform, which consists of the following courses (video lessons that contain both theoretical and practical parts) – a basic course for users; basic course for developers; basic course for business analysts.

Such meetings are useful for students of higher education to acquire relevant competencies as part of studying the “Automation of Business Processes” course.
