Guest meeting-lecture of students of the first year of higher education of the first (bachelor) level of education of the educational program “Financial Management” and the educational program “Finance, Customs and Tax Affairs”

November 19, 2022 as part of the course “Introduction to the profession” (lecturer – PhD in Economics, associate professor of the Department of Financial Management V.V. Kruhliakova) for students of higher education in the first year of study of the first (bachelor) level of education of the educational program Financial management” and the educational program “Finance, customs and tax affairs” (specialty 072 “Finance, banking and insurance”) a guest meeting-lecture was held with Veronika Ishchenko, a practicing specialist – junior auditor of the audit department of “KPMG Audit”.

Such lectures are aimed at forming higher education students a broader understanding of the entire spectrum of opportunities for the future profession and the application of specific knowledge in practice in the future. Therefore, during the meeting, Veronika familiarized the listeners with the peculiarities of the work of a financial auditor, talked about her own experience of employment in an international company, and also noted the importance of knowledge of the basics of finance, financial reporting and economic processes when applying for a job and directly performing her duties.

The audience took an active part in the discussion and received comprehensive answers to all the questions that interested them.

At the end of the meeting, there was a discussion of the initial working program from the component of the educational and professional program “Introduction to the profession”, as a result of which it was proposed to include the issue of audit as a function of financial management and the basis of audit activity. This will make it possible to expand the competences of higher education seekers of the first (bachelor) level of education of the educational program “Financial Management” and the light program “Finance, Customs and Tax Affairs” (specialty 072 “Finance, Banking and Insurance”).
