Guest lecture on “Bank lending to legal entities”

On November 29, 2022, a guest lecture on the topic “Bank lending to legal entities” was held for students of the fourth year of the OP “Finance, customs and tax affairs” as part of the study of the discipline “Corporate finance” (teacher – professor of the department of financial management Yu. V. Shushkova) “. Anastasiya Baik, an employee of the medium-sized business lending department of Joint-Stock Commercial Bank “Lviv” JSC, shared the practical aspects of bank lending to legal entities in modern conditions.

During the lecture, Baik A. familiarized the students with higher education with the main directions of work of the lending department and the list of credit products offered by AKB “Lviv” to legal entities-borrowers. The speaker described the features of term lending, credit line (revolving and non-revolving) and overdraft (“Easy Start”, “Standard”), listed the advantages and disadvantages of each type of loan, gave examples of calculating monthly loan payments. In addition, during the lecture, the stages of issuing a loan, the procedure for assessing the client’s creditworthiness, assessing collateral were considered; reasons for loan rejection.

In turn, the students of higher education had the opportunity to ask questions related to the lending practices of AKB “Lviv” to legal entities that were forced to move their business from regions where hostilities are active to Lviv, the presence of problem loans in the bank’s portfolio, the procedure for checking the target use of credit and others.
