Guest lecture of the head of the department of financial analysis and public procurement of the department of economic policy of the Lviv regional military administration on the topic “Public procurement” for students of the educational program “Finance, customs and tax affairs” specialty 072 “Finance, banking and insurance”
On November 14, 2022, a guest lecture on “Public Procurement” was held for students of the 2nd year of the educational program “Finance, Customs and Taxation”. At the invitation of L.O. Petyk, associate professor of the Department of Financial Management, Faculty of Finance and Business Management of Ivan Franko Lviv National University. the lecture was conducted by Lesya Volodymyrivna Bordun, head of the financial analysis and public procurement department of the economic policy department of the Lviv regional military administration.
Students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the basics of the procurement process.
In particular, the following issues were discussed at the lecture:
- What is “public procurement” and why is it important?
- What should be guided in procurement?
- What is Prozorro?
- The main players of the Prozorro system
- Procurement control
- How are purchases made?
- Organization of procurement activities
- Requirements and powers of the authorized person
Students gained new useful knowledge, enriched their experience regarding public procurement itself and the Prozorro electronic public procurement system.
At the end of the meeting, L. V. Bordun informed the students about the possibility of mastering the profession of “Public Procurement Specialist” (code KP2419.2, stipulated by the National Classifier of Ukraine DK 003:2010 “Classifier of Professions”)
Such meetings are useful for students of higher education, because practical cases from specialists deepen the knowledge of students and help them in the formation of professional competences.
