Educational event “Let’s bow to Kobzar”

On March 11, 2023, teachers and students of the Department of Economics and Public Administration of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management held an educational event dedicated to Shevchenko Days.

March 9, 2023 marked the 209th anniversary of the birth of the Ukrainian poet, novelist, thinker, painter, graphic artist, ethnographer and public figure Taras Shevchenko.

In the minds of Ukrainians, Taras Shevchenko is synonymous with our Independence and will, whose words gave a powerful impetus to the revival of the entire nation. It was Shevchenko who established the Ukrainian language as a full-fledged literary language and raised it to the European level.

Shevchenko is a brand of his time, a figure who made the rapid development of our literature possible. He entered our culture as a man of universal talents and interests, as an unsurpassed graphic designer and painter.

Today, the largest university of Ukraine, a number of settlements bear his name, his street is in every city and town of our country.

After the presentations by the students, the participants of the educational event were invited to watch the film “Secrets of Genius Shevchenko” in order to honor the memory of the Great Kobzar and reveal his unknown sides to themselves.
