35 years ago, one fraction of a second changed the history of nuclear energy, the history of picturesque Ukrainian Polissya and millions of lives. On April 26, at 1:23 a.m., explosions occurred at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, as a result of which the core of the 4th reactor of the Chornobyl NPP was destroyed. Radioactive substances that caused radioactive contamination of Ukrainian lands and a large part of Europe could enter the atmosphere.
The purpose of the educational event was to inform students that an exclusion zone is a place of history and memory and a place of present and future. And that future depends on the decisions that are made today.
