Discussion of educational programs of the Department of Economics and Public Administration with students of higher education, specialty 281 Public Management and Administration

On February 23, 2023, at the meeting of the Department of Economics and Public Administration, a discussion was held by teachers together with heads of groups of the first (bachelor) and second (master) levels of education of the Educational programs “Public Management and Administration” and “Personnel Management in Public Authorities and Business Structures”.
The representatives of the students of higher education were the elders of the groups: Zhestokova Sofya (UFP-11s), Kateryna Skulinets (UFP-22s), Iryna Rakhval (UFP-23s), Petriv Maryana (UFP-32s), Roksolna Klimkiv (UFP-42s), Drogomyretska Ulyana (UFPM-11z), Koziy Hrystyna (UFPM-12z).

Discussing educational programs with students is an essential element in ensuring quality education. The discussion was aimed at determining the relevance of the programs to the needs of students based on the results of surveys and preliminary discussions directly in study groups. Students shared their opinions regarding their scientific interests and expressed their thoughts on achieving the set educational goals. The conference of the programs provided a better understanding of how the academic disciplines meet the needs of students and whether additional courses or changes in existing programs are needed. Such discussions help increase motivation and improve learning outcomes: if students participate in the learning planning process, they feel more responsible and more actively involved.
Taking into account the opinion of students makes it possible to identify weak points and improve the content of programs. Discussing the program allows students to develop critical thinking and analytical skills. They can express their opinions, argue their positions and seek to understand the reasons and consequences of various decisions.
