Deepening of International Cooperation of the Department of Financial Management

From November 6-10, Olga Sych, an Associate Professor of the Department of Financial Management, visited Chemnitz University of Technology in Germany at the invitation of the Chair of Macroeconomics. During meetings with the head of the department, prof. Sebastian Gechert they summarised the results of cooperation between the departments for the 2022/2023 academic year. The program included internships, student visits, research support, guest lectures, and course improvement recommendations. All these activities became possible thanks to the project “Educational Bridge Chemnitz-Lviv 2.0” in the program “Digital Ukraine” (2023) of the German Academic Exchange Service with the support of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science of Germany.

Directions for further cooperation within the “Chemnitz-Lviv Educational Bridge” and other educational and scientific initiatives of the European Union were also worked out. In particular, an optional course of lectures by German teachers for masters of the department of financial management, joint methodological developments, further consulting of scientific research of student youth and exchange of teaching experience with digital tools were agreed upon. Cooperation plans include collaborative scientific research, submission of grant applications, and joint scientific conferences and seminars. The Department of Financial Management is thankful to Prof. Sebastian Gechert and to the Chair of Macroeconomics for their involvement, cooperation, and support of the scientific community in Ukrainian higher education institutions.
