Conducting an open lecture on the academic discipline “Financial Accounting II” for students of the UFO-31s group of the “Accounting and Taxation” specialization of the “Accounting, Analysis and Financial Investigations” specialization
On May 10, 2023, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Accounting, Analysis and Control Anna Shot held an open lecture on the academic discipline “Financial Accounting II” for students of the UFO-31s group of the first (bachelor’s) level of the “Accounting and Taxation” specialization. Accounting, analysis and financial investigations” on the topic “Accounting for payments to employees” (remotely on the Teams platform).
The lecture was attended by acting chief Department of Prof. Yevhen Romaniv and the teaching staff of the Department of Accounting, Analysis and Control of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of the Ivan Franko National University.
To consider the topic, the relevant issues of accounting for payments to employees, taxation of payments, the procedure for deductions from salaries, the peculiarities of calculations with personnel in conditions of martial law, responsibility for violations of labor legislation by employers were chosen. The theoretical questions of the lecture were complemented by the lecturer’s examination of specific production situations from the accounting of the company’s calculations with the personnel for payments, their taxation, etc.
When considering individual issues, students of the group were involved, who took an active part in the discussion, supplemented and answered the lecturer’s questions, and offered their creative solutions. At the end of the lecture, in order to check the assimilation of the presented material, test tasks were proposed, which the students successfully coped with.
A palpable atmosphere of interest, active discussion of the topic by students, valid suggestions of the participants testify to the relevance of the topic and a successfully conducted lecture.
