GOOGLE DIGITAL TOOLS FOR EDUCATION

On July 25, 2022, distance learning under the “Google Digital Tools for Education” program from the Ministry of Education and Culture and Google Ukraine began for educators of preschool, general secondary, extracurricular, professional (vocational and technical), professional pre-higher and higher education institutions. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, with the support of Google Ukraine, in order to expand the possibilities of using digital tools for the organization of distance learning and increase the efficiency of the educational process, organized free training within the framework of the “Google Digital Tools for Education” program, which will be carried out during 2022/2023 school year.

The basic training platform of the training course is the subject of professional development – the Academy of  Digital Development, where Hanna Komarnytska, head of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, trained.

The course contains 5 modules (30 hours – 1 ECTS credit). Each module consists of a video lecture, practical tasks and a final test.

Participants receive tasks in the secure virtual space of Google Classes. The list of applications that have been developed:

Google Classroom, Google Meet, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Google Slides, Google Keep, Google Sites, Google Jamboard, Google Drive Object Add-ons, Google Chrome, Chrome OS, Google Help, Google Security Center, features of Google Workspace for Education, materials of the Skillshop educational platform.

According to the results of the study, Hanna Komarnytska received a certificate with the results of improved professional competence (DIGITAL COMPONENT) in the amount of 30 academic hours (1 ECTS CREDIT).
