Advanced training of Iryna SHEVCHUK and Ihor ROMANYCH at Tech Summer for Educators: AI Edition-2024 by SoftServe

From July 23 to August 13, 2024, teachers of the Department of Digital Economy and Business Analytics of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of Ivan Franko National University, Professor Iryna SHEVCHUK and Associate Professor Ihor ROMANICH listened to a series of webinars from experts of the IT company SoftServe as part of Tech Summer for Educators: AI Edition-2024.

The topics of the workshops included questions about:

• stories of the development of neural networks;
• data analysis and processing;
• the content of the concept of “Artificial Intelligence”;
• basic capabilities of AI;
• main AI tools: ChatGPT, Midjourney, Kaiber, ElevenLabs;
• integration of AI tools in the development of educational projects;
• evolution of AI and Data Science;
• market needs in Data Science;
• ownership of AI-generated products.

As a result of the training, the participants of Tech Summer for Educators: AI Edition-2024 mastered:

• basic principles of AI operation;
• basic AI tools;
• market needs in the field of Data Science;
• legal aspects of using AI.

The acquired skills and abilities, which is the use of the main capabilities of AI in teaching activities, will be effectively used in the improvement and improvement of the educational process under the OPP “Information technologies in business” specialty 051 “Economics” for students to obtain higher education with the educational degrees of “bachelor” and “master».
