Online seminar “Academic integrity” for students of higher education of the second (master’s) level of the OP “Accounting, analysis and financial investigations”

On May 29, 2024, Doctor of Economics, prof. Petryshyn L.Yu. and Doctor of Economics, Assoc. Loboda N.O. held an event on the topic: “Academic integrity” for students of the second (master’s) level of higher education studying at the educational program “Accounting, Analysis and Financial Investigations” – UFOM-11c.

During the lecture, the speakers drew the attention of the awardees to the coverage of the concept of “academic integrity”, the normative and legal documents that regulate it, and outlined its fundamental values. They noted that academic integrity is opposed to the category of academic misconduct (academic misconduct, dishonesty) and emphasized the main manifestations of such activity. They also familiarized themselves with the principles of compliance and the procedure for checking for violations of academic integrity, types of academic responsibility for such violations.

Special attention was paid to the recommendations for preventing academic plagiarism during coursework and master’s theses, etc. We hope that the online seminar will be useful for applicants, as it will contribute to a better understanding of the essence of academic integrity, the implementation of its principles, compliance with norms and rules.
